I believe that learning should be fun, despite the seriousness of it. As an Artist I can relate to children's need of creativity, stimulation and inspiration;by being aware of this I can adapt this as strategies used to teach children and to gain not only their attention but also trust.

I am also a children’s writer and film Animator. My latest film, which deals with cultural diversity and tolerance has been shown to school children in both Britain and the United States . This film has been the basis of classroom forums. Other previous experience includes art therapy for adults with special needs.

I have been teaching for the past 3 years and so have become very good at handling children.

I love helping others learn and understand in new and interesting ways. I have flexible availablility: day, evening, and weekend hours are available. Get a head start or play catch up for the fall with one-on-one summer tutoring! I charge $20.00/hour for in-person one-on-one tutoring or email tutoring of middle school and high school students, and $30.00/hour for one-on-one tutoring or email tutoring of college students. We can meet at your home or mine or off-site at a coffee shop or library. If I am required to travel I charge $10.00/hour for travel time. I will travel up to 15 miles from Minneapolis. I am an experienced tutor as well as a Pre School Teacher. I am well verses in English and Mandarin . I conducted Art class and Computer classes.I love to interact with children and nurture them in a patient way .

I am a very patient person and understand the struggles of learning a foreign language (as I am always learning new things in both German and French)! As well, I believe lessons should be both about what the student wants to learn as much as what I feel as important within English.
