I am an experienced personal tutor used to working with adults and children of all levels. I have worked with children with special needs and learning difficulties, children and adults seeking to improve their general English skills, and those wishing to learn English as a second language. I am patiENT and diligENT in my approach to teaching and will provide carefully prepared lessons and tasks according to each studENT's individual needs.

With over four years of teaching experience overseas and locally, I pride myself in being an excellENT tutor in many areas, namely Music (Organ/Keyboard/Piano/Theory), Bahasa Malaysia, English (also ESL) and Science. I have a Honours degree in Chemistry from the Malaysian University of Science and a Diploma in TESOL from the London Teachers Training College. My music qualifications were awarded by Technics Music Academy, Japan as well as Trinity-Guildhall, and I have performed at various concerts and was the residENT organist at church for about 5 years. CurrENTly, I am pursuing the Graduate Diploma in Education at UWA.

My studENTs are from various backgrounds and from ages ranging from 6 years to adults. I am familiar with the school syllabuses up to Year 12. Lessons offered are tailored to suit the individual needs of studENTs in order to help them develop the passion for learning through interactive and creative methods - excellENT results are guaranteed! Constant feedback is provided to parENTs so that they are able to monitor and manage expectations.

I have worked as a substitute teacher in New Zealand and I have tutored ESL studENTs in Hong Kong. My background as a journalist and newspaper sub-editor makes me well qualified to guide studENTs in the correct use of English and to improve their writing skills. I am a mother of two young children and I appreciate the patience and sensitivity required to tutor both children and adults. While I am available to tutor face-to-face (in Sydney, Australia), I am just as eager to tutor online. My knowledge of French and Danish is an additional asset. I majored in history at university and I keep abreast of currENT affairs.

I am an outgoing, energetic and warm tutor. I don't give up easily, and I take initiative when it comes to teaching. My objective is always for my studENT to reach his or her full potENTial.

I have a very strong interest in pursuing a teaching career. Initially I wanted to pursue a high school teaching career, so I had a few experiences of taking classes of year 7-11 studENTs in secondary schools. So I am comfortable tutoring Year 7-12 studENTs with their Japanese. It is my goal to engage the studENTs not only in the language learning itself, but also to the cultural aspects of Japan. I have learnt lessons on various Japanese cultural activities, through my visit to Japan and through assistance from a Japanese native living in Melbourne.

Since I also have a degree in IT, I am also quite familiar with tutoring Year 7-9 studENTs doing IT. I am quite familiar with the following Microsoft Office Applications: Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Front Page, Outlook,
Other programs I am familiar with include: Dreamweaver, Creating Web Pages, Windows Movie Maker, MYOB.

Since I have experiences tutoring foreign language studENTs, I can offer some Year 7-9 ESL tutoring also. I am quite comfortable to Primary School kids with their Maths also.

I like to teach studENTs in language because it can help them to communicate the
whole world. I know Mandarin, English, Cantonese, Hakka, Hokien, Bahasa
Malaysia, Japanese. I am excellENT good on them because my that is my family
language. You will feel surprise why there are too many language in the family. I
stayed in Japan in a period of time. I've my family there name O.I.E family. I've 4years experience to be a tutor in Malaysia. My studENTs are Japanese, Korean, British and Malaysian. I will tell you more if you having tuition with me. haha.. I am

Such as listening, watching drama or movie, look at the picture to lead them easy to learn the new language. Ich besitze umfassende Erfahrungen als Nachhilfelehrer in den Fächern Latein und Französisch. Neben der Behebung fachlicher Defizite steht vor allem die Motivation der Schülerinnen und Schüler bzw. der studENTischen Latinums- bzw. PrüfungskandidatInnen im Mittelpunkt meines Nachhilfekonzeptes. Im Rahmen der Lateinnachhilfestunden bin ich bereit sowohl mit dem Lehrbuch der NachhilfeschülerInnen zu arbeiten als auch (in Anlehnung an das jeweilige von den SchülerInnen im Unterricht verwendete Lehrwerk) von mir selbständig formulierte lateinische Texte als Übungsmaterial zu verwenden (...deren dt. Übersetzung nicht im Internet gefunden werden kann). Als ehemaliger Studienreferendar bin ich umfassend mit der Fehlerkorrektur von Schülerübersetzungen lat. Übungstexte vertraut. Ich biete außerdem Nachhilfestunden in Englisch, Französisch, Mathematik, Deutsch und Religion für alle Schulformen an. Grundlage sind hier die im Unterricht verwendeten Lehrbücher bzw. Arbeitsmaterialien. Ich biete Nachhilfestunden von montags-freitags ab 16.30h (bei Anfahrt zum Kunden ab 17.00h!) sowie auf Wunsch auch samstags, sonntags oder an gesetzl. Feiertagen ganztätig an. Anfragen (auch kurzfristig!) bzgl. Fernunterricht/Online-Nachhilfe aus dem kompletten deutschen Sprachraum sind willkommen (via Telefon,Skype, Windows Messenger, Google Talk oder Email)!

I enjoy working with all ages and all levels. Although I am just completing my first year of teaching I have had a variety of teaching experiences, including a range of differENT studENTs and locations from India to Brighton. I believe that flexibility in the classroom is key to creating a productive learning environmENT for the learner and try to keep lessons dynamic and interesting.
