Lets talk German!

I'm a native English speaker, but I have lived in Germany and have spoken German for several years. Although I've never tutored German before, I have had experience as an English tutor overseas. I've taught both adults and children. I'm a patient and friendly tutor, who's good at breaking down concepts and relating them to the student.

I am very patient and have a lot of empathy. I analyse the specific difficulties of my students and their strengths. I tutored throughout my studies and in addition to all my jobs. It´s a fun job and I have a natural talent to do so.

My approach to tutoring is relaxed but the lessons are structured and purposeful. I work according to the student's aims, needs and learning preferences. I am an experienced tutor and teacher and I have a good knowledge of examination requirements.

In my German language tutoring I use a unique educational technique and dramatic reinforcement methods that banish inhibitions and optimize the speed of language acquisition. You will speak the other language in the first lesson.

As your tutor and native German speaker, my focus is on practical vocabulary, cultural cues, verbal ease and listening ability. You will speak the language to learn it!

I am a native speaker of German. Due to my university training in foreign languages (English, Lower and Upper Sorbian) and my experience in working with students I know how a foreign language should be taught in order to achieve quickly a well grounded proficiency/how to achieve progress. I can cover all areas of language teaching (e.g. grammar exercises, speaking discourses, creative writing, composition, translation). It goes without saying that I am very patient, uncomplicated and amicable.

I can teach at any location reachable by public transport in the metropolitan area melbourne or at my home in Hawthorn.

I'm currently living in Italy but will be moving to England (Lancashire). I've had a very good volunteering experience with kids who are dyslexic. I volunteered as an english and italian teacher, also working with kids with learning difficulties. I have plenty of experience teaching private lessons -english, italian, German and other languages- over here in Italy.
