I am a 3rd year student at the University of Edinburgh working towards my Medical Sciences Degree. I actively suport school-work as well as provide help with the exam preparation. Being a student myself I understand and recognise pupil's needs which helps me to plan the best possible tuition schedule. I am familiar with the curriculum of the courses in my teaching areas. I very much enjoy working with children and believe that hard work develops confidence and is always rewarded.

I teach every student differently, according tol their learning style. I am professional and timely. I care about my student's progress and push them to succeed.

I have experience with classroom Instruction for SAT included reviewing basic skills and test taking strategies while disciplining students into a prep curriculum. I also performed personalized diagnostic analysis and helped place students into classes. I also counselled high school students in small groups. I also conducted intensive SAT workshops for Writing and Critical Reading strategies. For some students that prefered individual attention, I tailored tutorial sessions for private in-home instruction to meet their needs and schedules. I prepared and planned my tutoring sessions in cordance with the lectures of the professor's curriculum. My biggest challenge was designing a lesson plan for all students alike, developing a strategy to help them master all the skills they need. I assigned practice problems and homework assignments relevant to the subject matter and followed up by reviewing the strategies used to guide the student through exercises exclusive to the entrance test they are prepping for.

I am detail oriented and able to successfully multi-task. I believe these are valuable skills to possess when working with children. I enjoy reading, grammar, creatively writing and critical thinking and I would be happy to pass my knowledge along. I am extremely patient and willing to work diligently for the student’s success.

I am available to provide tuitions at my home for 3 days a week. I can assure personalised attention and care for the student.

I work by an initial consultation with the student (and parent if requested) to establish the aim of the tutoring sessions.

Together, we will identify specific areas of the course that require attention, and also take the opportunity to decide if we are both happy with the other's expectations of the sessions.

Following this, we will build a clear outline of the study plan within the given timeframe to cover all required material, and build in problem-solving sessions in order to prepare for examinations.
