Originally from Toulouse, south-west France, I've been living in Dublin for 5 years. I love linguistics and languages, and am currently learning Mongolian and Nepali.

methodology that will work for him/her
make it as painless/enjoyable as efficiency

* reach the goals that we've set together in any
needed areas (hey, I'm the teacher, but this is

I also like working with various tools: the Internet, pictures, films, musics & songs, magazines & papers ...you name it.
The pupils I have worked with ranged from 5 to 60 years old, were from very different backgrounds and levels. And it's always been great craic.
I'm flexible, committed and I don't mind explaining something several hundred times if that's what it takes.
Follow-up help in between classes via email is possible too.

My usual method is to present a feature of the language, and then ask questions of the student so that he/she may reproduce and practise the feature. This means that no books are required for most of the activities. Few students desire written homework, but I can set you some if required.

I'm currently living in Italy but will be moving to England (Lancashire). I've had a very good volunteering experience with kids who are dyslexic. I volunteered as an english and italian teacher, also working with kids with learning difficulties. One is my native language which is Turkish, the other one is Italian which I studied for eight years in an Italian High School and the last one is English which I have learnt also in an Italian High school and improved with my English husband. My teaching method depends on what the level is, what students are most interested in learning (writing/speaking) and how much time they have.

For advanced students I like using movies and articles from newspapers. So that they can learn also something about the Italian culture. but of course they have to learn before the basic grammar... If they already now the basic, the students naturally become able to talk about the news, their job or their interests.
