I'm a bubbly and enthusiastic young primary teacher. I am very passionate about what I do and I believe that every child should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. I find it very rewarding when a child gains the skills and the confidence to overcome any difficulties they may have had. I provide calm and supportive teaching and work on confidence building as well as the acquisition of skills. I find it useful to relate teaching to what the child is interested in. I will work with children/parents to set both short and long term goals of what they want to achieve and communicate clearly about current performances and where strengths and weaknesses lie.

I have experience with classroom Instruction for SAT included reviewing basic skills and test taking strategies while disciplining students into a prep curriculum. I also performed personalized diagnostic analysis and helped place students into classes. I also counselled high school students in small groups. I also conducted intensive SAT workshops for Writing and Critical Reading strategies. For some students that prefered individual attention, I tailored tutorial sessions for private in-home instruction to meet their needs and schedules. I prepared and planned my tutoring sessions in cordance with the lectures of the professor's curriculum. My biggest challenge was designing a lesson plan for all students alike, developing a strategy to help them master all the skills they need. I assigned practice problems and homework assignments relevant to the subject matter and followed up by reviewing the strategies used to guide the student through exercises exclusive to the entrance test they are prepping for.

I am an experienced tutor who previously taught secondary school level maths in Scotland through one-to-one lessons. I aim to tailor my tuition to the individual's needs so that they improve their skills and increase their chances of achieving a good grade.

I am currently an NQT teaching at Glyn Technology Boys’ School, London. I also taught Spanish up to A-Level at Fullbrook School last year. Fullbrook is a mixed comprehensive school where I was teaching some high-achieving sets. I have been marking coursework for Year 11 and 13 and preparing the students in Years 11, 12 and 13 for their oral exams in May 2006. I also conducted GCSE and A-level examinations in May 2006. At Fullbrook, I was also teaching some French lessons in Year 7 and a lower ability set in Year 9. I am also willing to go on a course to improve my French skills. I was a Tutor in charge of Year 9 students. I have found this role extremely enjoyable as I have spent time building a relationship with my tutees ans I have worked well along side my year group encouraging my tutees to get involved in year competitions. I believe that this role has helped me build up classroom discipline where I have gained respect from the pupils. I have also found my teaching at Fullbrook challenging and extremely enjoyable.

Was Head of Art at a sixth form college in London where I expanded the A&D curriculum to cover all aspects of Art and Design. Now working in the west country as Artist/Maker. Also some supply in local Secondary school.

I realize that each student has different strengths and weaknesses. I enthusiastically praise my students when they do something well or when they tell me about the great grades they are starting to earn after they have seen me for a while. I always emphasize to the student how important it is to make the effort to study outside of their sessions with me.

I am currently working as a curriculum assistant and Maths Teacher full-time.

However, I also have qualifications to the level of a Master's degree in Physics from educational institutions in France. I am eager and enthusiastic to begin my teaching career in the UK.

I have a great deal of experience working with young people, and this is something that I greatly enjoy. I have taught Maths and coached football clinics for young boys during this time I encountered a range of personalities some being more difficult than others. I find that children relate very well to my personality, and respond well to my teaching tactics no matter their disposition. My current position as a Maths teacher has allowed me to hone these techniques and skills, and I find myself an adept and effective teacher.
