I am a PhD in Chemistry and currently a postdoctoral researcher in Manchester University in the Department of Chemistry. Having successfully navigated the higher education system. I would now like to contribute to the education of the next generation using my varied experience of being a student myself, teaching others and good team work and hence my decision to have a career change. I have always had a passion for teaching and believe teaching is about inspiration, facilitation and working with challenges to achieve the ultimate goal of motivating and instilling the values of life long learning in young minds. Moreover, I come from a family where academics and teaching is highly valued as a means of personal development and contributing back to community, society and therefore country.

I believe that students should not realise what a hard job they are doing. So I try to use as many games, films, role-plays and discussions as possible. However, some serious work needs to be done as well, like grammar study. I speak 99 % Russian during classes, so students simply have to understand and learn. And it is fun too!!!!!

I have a first from Manchester University and am currently studying for a PhD also at Manchester. I gained an A* in my maths GCSE and an A at both A-level maths and further maths.
