My usual method is to present a feature of the language, and then ask questions of the student so that he/she may reproduce and practise the feature. This means that no books are required for most of the activities. Few students desire written homework, but I can set you some if required.

I elected to follow the Vocational PGCE course. My first placement at Heath Park Business and Enterprise College provided me with a supportive environment to begin my teaching and gave me with the opportunity not only to deliver ICT to KS4 and Post 16 students but to also teach basic word processing, PowerPoint and Publisher skills to year 7 and 8 and DIDA to years 9. I am Australian, female and have taught children from age 5 to 16 in Italy and 5 to 18 in Australia. I have taught privately and in state schools in Australia and privately and in-house in businesses in Italy. I am very patient and use a variety of teaching techniques so that students experience an enjoyable learning environment. I believe that conversation is a vital part of learning a language, in order to put into practice the English theory that is taught, and it is a regular component of my lessons.
In businesses where I have taught English I have worked with groups, duos and one to one. I have taught managers and upper level employees of National and International companies in Brescia, Firenze and Genova. I have extensive experience in public speaking.
